Psychological Assessment for Chronically Ill and Disabled Adults

At Antler Clinic, we understand the devastating impact of medical gaslighting, dismissal, and neglect. We also understand that these issues disproportionately impact BIPOC and women. Our specialized assessment service is designed for individuals diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), somatic disorders, or those whose physical health concerns have been misattributed to mental health issues, leaving them without proper care.

This service is built to advocate for you, leveraging clinical expertise and lived experience to fight for your health concerns to be taken seriously.

In-Depth Psychological Assessment:
We will use evidence-based psychological and neuropsychological measures, clinical interviewing, and an extensive review of your symptoms and history.


Advocacy Letter:
A letter directed toward other healthcare professionals outlining the assessment results with research-backed insights into medical gaslighting, and a professional request for further medical evaluation, a treatment plan, or symptom management strategies. The letter is intended to empower you in advocating for appropriate care with your providers.


Tailored Recommendations and Resources:
A report including the findings with a list of actionable recommendations, resources, and referrals to support your ongoing care.

Preparation:
Complete paperwork and comprehensive measures tailored to your concerns at home prior to the first appointment.

Assessment:
Engage in an approximately 2-hour virtual assessment appointment from the comfort of your home.

Results and Recommendations:
A 1-hour follow-up meeting to review findings, discuss recommendations, and provide your custom letter.
